Helping Overcome Professional Exploitation Advocate Web is a nonprofit organization providing information and resources to promote awareness and understanding of the issues involved in the exploitation of persons by trusted helping professionals.


Safe Havens

Safe Havens' staff and Advisory Board include faith community members, domestic violence service providers, and business experts. Safe Havens works with diverse faith congregations across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and across the U.S. to promote safe and effective faith-based responses to domestic violence. 


Bikers Against Child Abuse
BACA exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. Though Baca is not specifically for survivors of religious abuse, it is noted in our resources because the organization understands firsthand what it means to be on the margins.

RAIIN Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) in partnership with more than 1,100 local rape crisis centers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are are brought to justice.  1.800. 656.HOPE


SoulForce
Soulforce is an organization that advocates freedom for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people from religious and political oppression through the practice of relentless nonviolent resistance.


Stop It Now! USA works to prevent the sexual abuse of children. Their national prevention helpline (1.888.PREVENT) provides free, confidential, and direct support and information to individuals with questions or concerns about child sexual abuse. They also offer email, and chat services, an interactive Online Help Center , and an “Ask Now!” advice column. People ages 14-21 with concerns can contact their youth helpline (link is external) through WhatsOK. WhatsOK is a website and helpline that offers free, confidential support and resources to youth and young adults with concerns about their own or a friend’s sexual thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.


Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP)
The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) is a volunteer self-help organization of survivors of Catholic clergy sexual abuse and their supporters that supports survivors and pursues justice and institutional change by holding individual perpetrators responsible and the Church accountable.



Survivorship
Survivorship is for survivors of ritualistic abuse, mind control, and torture that supports survivors of extreme child abuse, including sadistic sexual abuse, ritualistic abuse, mind control, and torture. Survivorship provides resources, healing, and community for survivors; training and education for professionals who may serve survivors; and support for survivors’ partners and other allies.
